Children Looked After with SEND
We have a Designated Teacher for Children Looked After, Miss Mann, who works closely with the SENDCo to ensure all teachers in school understand the implications for those children who are looked after and have additional needs.
Provision for children looked after is managed within school with careful liaison with the Virtual School Service to monitor outcomes and provision within the child’s Personal Education Plan (PEP). Where a child looked after has additional needs, they will also have a SEND Support Plan which follows the graduated response. A Support Plan and PEP should compliment each other and work together to ensure the best possible provision for the child.
